Cutting across lines of fundamentals for everyone, is this concept of peace over violence, and this show revealed a few such incidences with a provocation of thought processes for a worthy reflection, a day before Gandhi Jayanti ...

ADAPTING TO A BETTER WAY OF UNDERSTANDING CHANGE 

News stories can be difficult to digest, simply due to the lack of conclusion, not only for the IQ, but also for the EQ.  

The simple answer to how one, for instance deals with conflict in their own zones or other zones in the world, is staying strong for those directly in conflict zones, to be in a position to provide support and help whenever and wherever required. Acknowledging our priviledged selves and the place we are in, away from the conflict helps, more than being in the line of fire. Knowing that we have to keep our senses of pride, our defense mechanisms satisfied with limited control over this chaos, is the part we deal with, within ourselves. Doing something about things directly or indirectly and staying satisfied with this contribution to things, is the manifestation of coming to peace with this current process. 

The world around us can be especially confusing with news agencies not being able to do justice in reporting about conflict between two sides. The instance of framing popular figures that started with yellow journalism with regards to misbehaving politicians was, is and always be a double edged sword. Obviously better and innocent people can be damaged with this defamation just the same. Just like laws, that can be used against innocent people, also academically known as 'institutional crime'. The instance given here is about the NSA (National Security Act) of a country that simply takes away all rights of a person possibly indefinitely, for a person found to be a threat to National Security. Here the question: Can one person be somehow responsible for being a national threat to the security of a country of million people ? Imagine the position of this person. Maybe he was, is very rich and powerful, with a lot of connections. True that. But finally arresting a peacefull monk to make this point, is where we see this being used against citizens and clearly not having anything to do with threatening the security of a nation. Really, are we so gullible as to believe that one person is so dangerous ? Incidentally, this NSA is being provoked from a nationalist sense of misplaced pride as it is being seen as some type of security. Security against one person will change this ? Apparently people have also been provoked to use this NSA against those responsible for brutally beating up another activist, in yet another part of this same country. Co-incidentally, again this NSA is supposed to be invoked against one person to get the point across that violence is not to be tolerated. Quite visibly, the real solution shown here in terms of consequence for violent actions, does not fit the logic. Simply because, this is a double edged sword and it will not take time before such a useless act has to be used against someone who said something or did something that the state admin or government did not like. This is exactly how this peaceful monk was sent to jail. So we have a right to protest since all admins need to be communicated regards unfairness. But when seen as peaceful protestors, this NSA is used against you. 

Well for sometime now, citizens who stand up and speak out, seem to have it coming from state admins with the idea of security being sold to us all, who lick this lie up. As for the media who plays slut to such games, a news report went on to frame the brutally attacked indegenious leader that he was not giving a statement to the police while accepting visitors instead. Unofficial sources suddenly anonymously giving info that this is the situation, even while knowledge of a failing memory due to blood clot from a head injury, and the fact that he is not yet discharged from hospitalisation, somehow never got reported by the same newspaper. The news report somehow tried to again frame the activist in bad light on the excuse that he was not yet ready to make a clear statement to the police. Media playing the double edged sword and hurting the people, has gone on for sometime now, but is easily noticed these days. The cat is already out of the bag. 

Similar reports regarding youth from Madagascar, Morrocco and Nepal creating unrest due to bad conditions of health, education and order from an executive body of elected ministers have clogged our minds this week. The youth are the strenght of a country, and if these citizens are shunted, what type of a citizenry can be expected ? But the millitary youth have been kept to keep the citizen youth at bay. Then again, writing out 40,000 people citing only 60,000 people for the 'All Eyes on Gaza' protest in Berlin when the figure was clearly more than one hundred thousand, was something also noticed by the citizenry in Germany with regards to honest news reporting. This was clearly not one of those instances.  

Gerard's Gazette, a news mailer originating from Goa, an international destination with many people from all over the world even residing there, was quick to point out certain key news pieces from this small but international state. A call to action to save a UNESCO Heritage site of over 450 years, also being damaged with blessings of the state, as mentioned by Honourable Courts from this location, was another mention from the titbits that concern the world.  

What incidentally missed this show, was the mention of this special event organised for a good cause of fairness, like many more people movements spoken about on this show. Called, 'DECOLONIALISING THE SCREEN IN TÜBINGEN', this was about step motherly treatment being given to a section of artists, event organisers and film makers and viewers, who are no less human than the Latin American, Asian or European Films being created and 'allowed' to be screened.  

What did get featured, was talk about stereotypes against people using cannabis, post de-crimilisation and the misbehaviour by heads of nations bringing political warfare into an area of the sport of cricket. Sports help bring reltions between countries together and keeping this ethic is important, lest we slip into conflict. The update on lackdasical attitude towards cannabis clubs by the German state admin, thus lagging behind in tackling black market and availability, was another news piece mentioned to clear recent news pieces from Germany's main stream media who showed this in a different light. 

AS for most of the music in this show, this was about introducing 'Merkeba'  an artist featurig a dj set that took the show through the afternoon with its ambient effect. Moving on from Joe Satriani's 'Always with me, always with you', to RHCP's 'Soul to Squeeze' to finally this set and coming around with news updates every now and then hopefully helped to digest the 'intense' news pieces and had people tune into awareness. Be the change you want, finally are the words to reflect on for everyone, also left behind by this one man who was also probably seen as a threat to the rule of colonialisers. His weapon of course, was non-violence. Maybe we read these words again on this occasion of rememberance this October 2, just to remember what is 'real strength'.

Choosing 'Democracy' over fascism and other concepts to attempt the fairest state for everyone, is something that may also need to be remembered as a process and not an absolute point in time where democracy is totally established. Thinking that we are already in a democratic space, is hence a fallacy. We look forward to such fairness, to set the misinterpreted correct. All we can control in simply our own change - so, be the change u want ! And on that note, greetings to everyone on the day of German unification, when better sense prevailed in bringing down the wall of division between people !
